Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Relicara platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Relicara reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Account Registration

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Service Description

Relicara is a collection management platform that allows users to:

  • Create and organize collections of personal items (action figures, trading cards, memorabilia, and more)
  • Upload photographs and detailed metadata for each item
  • Track item conditions, estimated values, and custom attributes
  • Share collections publicly and connect with other collectors
  • Use AI-powered valuation tools (available on paid plans)
  • Trade items with other users through the community marketplace

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Relicara offers Free, Pro, and Premium subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually at the rates displayed on our Pricing page.

  • Free trial: Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
  • Recurring billing: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Access to paid features continues through the end of the current billing period.
  • Downgrades: If you downgrade to a lower tier, your existing data is preserved but access to higher-tier features is restricted.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@relicara.com.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including photographs, descriptions, and metadata (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant Relicara a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit
  • We will never sell your User Content to third parties
  • When you delete content, it is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days
  • Publicly shared collections are visible to other users and may be indexed by search engines

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or obscene
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing plan limits
  • List or trade counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

7. AI Valuations Disclaimer

AI-powered valuation estimates provided by the Service are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional appraisals, financial advice, or guarantees of market value. Valuations are generated by machine learning models and may not reflect actual sale prices. Relicara is not liable for decisions made based on AI valuation estimates.

8. Trading and Community Interactions

Relicara facilitates connections between collectors but is not a party to any trade, sale, or transaction between users. You acknowledge that:

  • All trades are conducted at your own risk
  • Relicara does not verify the condition, authenticity, or value of traded items
  • Disputes between users should be resolved directly between the parties involved
  • Relicara may, at its discretion, mediate disputes but is not obligated to do so

9. Intellectual Property

The Relicara name, logo, website design, and all associated software are the property of Relicara and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Relicara and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage resulting from trades with other users.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Relicara in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your personal data and collections will be permanently removed within 30 days
  • Any active subscription will be cancelled immediately with no further charges
  • Publicly shared content will be removed from the platform

Relicara may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
